About: Heritage Fish and Chips

Heritage Fish & Chips opened in 1983 on California Street in Downtown Brampton, named after the nearby Heritage Theatre. Originally a small 25-seat shop, it was taken over by Bill Bletsas and Lackie Fotiadis in 1988, who expanded it to a 120-seat restaurant within two years. In 1993, due to downtown redevelopment, it relocated to 295 Queen St. E.

The second location opened in 2003, and today, Heritage Fish & Chips operates six locations, serving high-quality fish and a variety of English, Scottish, and Irish dishes. Family-owned for over 40 years, it has won multiple Brampton Guardian Readers' Choice Awards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Review daily operations to ensure efficiency andquality.

·        Develop menus, determine appropriate portionsizes, estimate food quantities and costs, and oversee inventory and supplyordering.

·        Create a budget to estimate the costs of food,ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies.

·        Oversee staff performance to maintain highstandards.

·        Track revenue to manage labor costs effectively.

·        Adjust food preparation techniques and menupricing in alignment with the restaurant's budget.

·        Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers.

·        Coordinate and manage inventory efficiently.

·        Provide training and guidance to staff.

·        Coordinate and supervise the activities ofkitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.

·        Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuringcompliance with health and safety standards.

·        Monitor and maintain accurate records ofinventory, including food supplies, ingredients and kitchen equipment.

 

Job Requirements:

·      Capable to communicate in English

·      Must have 7 months to 1 year of experience

·      Willing to travel

·      Work under pressure
